Cafe L’Europe on St. Armands Circle was founded in 1973 by two men of Dutch and German influence who combined their extensive restaurant experience to open then what is today a community dining treasure.
Its name and vision were inspired by the classic Europe ambiance of the popular De L’Europe Hotel in Amsterdam. Elegantly designed with old world charm, the restaurant was originally the real estate office of one of Sarasota’s most famous residents of the past — John Ringling.
In August 2016, Ron Milton took ownership of this iconic fine dining restaurant. His team has worked hard to perpetuate its stellar reputation by making sure your experience is one you will immensely enjoy and keep you returning time and time again. Outstanding food, impeccable service, and the ultimate dining experience is more than their goal – it is their passion.
The Cafe L’Europe menu features longtime favorites such as classic Dover Sole Meuniere, Potato Crusted Grouper, Chateaubriand served table side, Lobster Bisque and French Onion soup served in a large sweet onion, as well as many other creative and delicious offerings. The restaurant has an array of fine wines, craft cocktails, a bar menu, piano music, and private dining rooms for smaller parties.
