On January 18, 2017, Cafe L’Europe hosted Joseph Phelps Vineyards for a 120-person wine-pairing dinner.
The meal, prepared by Cafe L’Europe’s Chef Rolando Casillas, was a five-course phenom, with inventive plates like 5-spice lobster over decadent spinach souffle, maple-cured duck breast, and bleu cheese-stuffed wine-soaked pear.
The wine, though, took center stage.
A wide variety of wines were served throughout the evening, but the star of the show was the 2013 Insignia blend.
